A structured, six-stage intervention methodology that governs how Aikapatya approaches, develops and delivers every consulting engagement — built around dedicated specialist teams at each stage, with a Core Team providing continuous oversight from ideation through sustained post-deployment support.
The IDIOTS Model is a proprietary Aikapatya framework — not a project management template, but an end-to-end intervention philosophy. It evolved from the recognition that the hardest part of any consulting engagement is not developing the solution, but ensuring it is genuinely adopted, operated independently and sustained beyond the engagement.
Unlike BOT (Build–Operate–Transfer) and BOOT models that hand over responsibility at a defined point, IDIOTS embeds continuous Core Team oversight across all six stages, and uniquely positions the Support Team as a backstop for every other team throughout the entire lifecycle.
The Core Team runs as a continuous thread across all six stages. The Support Team provides backstop capacity to every stage at any time.
Each stage of the IDIOTS Model is staffed by a dedicated specialist team — bringing focused expertise without the dilution of generalist assignment. The Core Team monitors all six stages simultaneously, ensuring client expectations are never lost between stages.
The Ideation Team brainstorms the widest possible set of solutions for the client's identified problem. No idea is eliminated prematurely — the goal at this stage is breadth, not convergence. The Core Team then evaluates each candidate idea for application feasibility and genuine problem-solving ability, selecting the most viable approach to carry forward.
The Development Team takes the finalised idea and builds the full solution — translating concept into a deployable reality. The Core Team monitors progress continuously against client expectations and project specifications, catching misalignments before they compound. Any gap between what is being built and what was agreed is escalated immediately.
The Implementation Team deploys the solution in a controlled test environment first, validates results against expected outcomes, and then rolls out systematically across the full system. Any disconnects identified during test deployment are escalated back to the Development Team for refinement before full deployment proceeds.
The Operations Assistance Team supports the client through live operation of the fully deployed solution — embedded alongside the client's own teams to ensure every operational detail is understood and practiced. The team remains engaged until the client demonstrates growing independence and operational confidence, not just on paper but in practice.
The Training & Knowledge Transfer Team ensures the organisation and all project representatives are fully equipped for independent operation — not just trained in procedures, but capable of handling edge cases, training future users and managing the solution without ongoing external support. The team remains engaged until complete knowledge transfer is verified and formally certified.
The Support Team provides ongoing post-deployment assistance — and uniquely within IDIOTS, serves as a backstop for every other stage in the model. Any team from Ideation through Training & Transfer can call on the Support Team at any point for additional bandwidth, subject-matter expertise or historical context. This makes the Support Team both a post-deployment resource and a continuous organisational asset across the entire engagement.
Across all six stages, the Core Team serves as the central governing body of every IDIOTS engagement. They evaluate ideas at Ideation, monitor development alignment, oversee implementation quality, supervise operations handover, certify training completion and remain involved through Support. Unlike stage-specific teams, the Core Team is a constant presence — they are the thread that holds the entire intervention together, ensuring client expectations are never diluted between handovers, and that every stage team remains aligned to the original brief and agreed outcomes.
Most engagements fail not at development, but at deployment and adoption. The IDIOTS Model is designed specifically to close the gaps where conventional consulting leaves clients stranded — between stages, after handover, and when edge cases emerge in live operation.
Rather than a single generalist team stretched across an engagement, IDIOTS assigns dedicated specialist teams to each stage. This eliminates the bandwidth compromise that causes most consulting engagements to deliver unevenly across the lifecycle.
Every stage transition is overseen by the Core Team. Client expectations, project specifications and solution integrity are tracked continuously — not reconstructed at each handover from documents that no one fully reads.
In most models, support is a post-delivery afterthought — a helpdesk or warranty period. In IDIOTS, the Support Team is embedded from the start and available to every other team throughout. This makes organisational knowledge retention a design feature, not an accident.
The model is explicitly designed to produce client independence. The Operations and Training & Transfer stages do not end at a contractual milestone — they end when the client is demonstrably capable of operating without Aikapatya. The measure is capability, not calendar.
When the Implementation Team identifies gaps during test deployment, they have a defined pathway back to the Development Team. When the Operations Team encounters edge cases, the Support Team is available. IDIOTS treats stages as connected, not sequential boxes to close.
The IDIOTS Model governs both Aikapatya's consulting engagements and the deployment of its social innovations. The discipline of full-lifecycle thinking — from ideation to sustained independent operation — applies equally whether the solution is an HR system or a patented public safety innovation.
